If you had a choice in the construction of your PC, what would your dream PC have in it? Mine would have Intel Quad-core processors at 3.0 GHZ, GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics card, 4 GB RAM, 1 terabyte of Hard drive space, Combo Blu-Ray/HD-DVD reader/writer, wireless N capabilities, and 10 in 1 card reader/writer.

Graphics - GeForce 8800 Ultra x2
RAM - Corsair XMS2 DHX 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz

Your PC sounds cool but why not add the new DDR3 technology for RAM. I heard its better than DDR2. I also would build my dream PC around a Intel Quad-core Extreme Processor clocking at 3.0 GHZ

I'm fine with my laptop right now... and yano what's sad, it can out preform a good 90% of the computers on my floor (dorm >.<) the only downside is it came with vista, and I cannot do anything to it until the irs forgets about it... which is until the massive warranty expires. (I got this through my dad's funeral home ^^;)
stats:
intel core 2 duo @ 1.5 Ghz
4 gigabytes of ddr2 ram .... I'll say that again 4 gigabytes of ddr2 ram. (this is a laptop mind you)
an NVIDIA ge force 8400M GS with 1 gig of memory (non shared)
yea, my laptop is about 1 degree celcius from going into uber meltdown flow of various metals mode.

I would suggest Toshiba or HP brands of DVD burners. Haven't had any problems with my Toshiba DVD burner. Also did you know that some new Nvidia graphic cards have SLI technology? This technology lets you install two graphic cards of the same type and allow them to work at the same time.

Awesome suggestion. Yesterday, I was surfing the net like anyone else and I have my eyes on ASUS 18X DVD±R DVD Burner with 14X DVD-RAM Write and LightScribe Black PATA Model DRW. What do you think about it?

I've heard that those DVD burners are good. I would suggest that you never get the Mad dog brand of DVD burners. I got one before and in 3 months it wouldn't work or spin my discs anymore. Back on topic, I would probably try to custom build a dream Laptop. I would need to properly cool it though because laptops get very warm when not properly ventilated. i sometimes use my laptop on cold concrete tables. :D

Now that would be something alright.
