Does anyone have their preferences when it comes to mp3 players? (Ipods too) My favorite Mp3 player is the Sandisk Sansa view 16gb mp3 player because if you run out of memory, you can add more because of its expandable micro SD slot. Do you have a favorite mp3 player?

That's cool man I also have a sandisk sansa, but mine is a e280. The micro

sd slot is nice and all but you can't put video on it. That's what The user

manual said. I think that if you really wanna get your money's worth and not

spend three to five hundred dollars, you should go with the Sansa or the

Creative Zen 30 gb. Both players support Avi,Mpeg 1,2,4and Vob., Well it

does support mepg 3. Which is what mp3 is.

The Sandisk players are, IMHO, the best of the non Apple players.

I do like the iPods though, admittedly for things other than their music capability (though they are very good at MP3/AIFF/ACC playback)

I still have and occasionally use my Gen 1 and Gen 2 iPod, the Gen 2 was especially trick because it uses a standard Firewire connector (like the Gen 1) but it could also be loaded with a full Mac OS bootable system (this was way back before boot to USB became available on Windows/Intel systems. I used it mainly as a tech support tool, had a basic bootable Mac OS plus heaps of disk, network, disk imaging, hardware diagnostics software and cloning as well as the full system install CD image on it so when ever there was a non bootable mac it came out and better than 9 out of 10 times I could get the dead mac back up and running.
Nowdays my 60GB iPod is used more for backing up my photos when I'm traveling than tech support jobs but it's still more a "tool of the trade" than a "toy"

I have only had two. For 4 years ago I get a SanDisc mp3. Only after a few weeks the screen was destroyed and I don't know how it happens. I use to take care of expensive things. After that the sound became worse and worse and in the end it hacks every second. So I did just throw it away in the bean bag.

Later when I was in Usa I bought a Ipod. I love it so much. <3
The sound is perfect, I love the movement weal and you can both play games and do much more. One other good thing is that it was much cheaper than in Sweden. There it cost 300 dollars. There only 200. It was a really a great deal.
But I did need to buy a case for it too. It did become so fast scratched so I have to buy one at once.

They're not scratches they're "character marks" :p (apparently Brasso will get the scratches out of both the metal and plastic but I just like the beat up look :D )

i have a first gen ipod nano 2gig. its great, had it for over a year and nothing major has gone wrong with it. (it wouldnt turn off once, but ran out of batteries and fixed itself). i also have had a creative muvo 128mb. it was great, cause u could replace the batteries in it. and it was plug and play. i think the next thing i will get is the new nano. its nice and small but i can watch bleach on it :D. i dont really think i would ever get anything other than flash memory in an mp3 player, it means they can take so much more of a thrashing. and flash memory is always getting bigger and bigger, so its not really a problem about space.

Right now, I'm using Samsung MP3 player, and it's working just fine. The sound quality is awesome. But, I'm thinking about getting the Creative MP3 player.

I have a *very* cheap Samsung YP-T9J. It's very sleek, has video capability (can only play .svg, but there is a program can convert vids to .svg), a couple of simple games, a load of different languages to use, 20 hrs. of battery, and holds 2 GB. All for $100 US.

It's pretty awesome, but it uses buttons for nav, instead of that neat roll-pad thingy commonly found on iPods. I like my sis's Sansa Rhamsody (I think that's what its called) more. Holds the same memory, slightly bigger, but has more features...

It seems like Flash based players seems to be more popular than the hard drive versions. I'd prefer the new iPod nano because you can watch videos hehe. :D

As long as it playes music, then it's okay (I use my lil' bro's mp3 player called Sandisc or so, sometimes but still rarely). To me it really doesn't matter. I'm not interested in these kind of things. I like to listen to music when I'm behind computer not everywhere where I go. I might change my mind towards mp3 players when I can try the iPod nano that mom bought for herself. The only problem is that none of us knows how to use iTunes... :o

I've always been a Sony fan through and through. I currently own the 8gb NW808. Its a great player, with superb battery life. I've never had a problem with it, and people who dont like the software that comes with it, then the new NW800 series players can be synchronised using Windows Media Player, or just using drag and drop.
