What should I do?

If i were to have anywhere from 300 to 600 bucks, should i just get and I-Pod touch and keep my current cellphone or get an I-Phone. The I-Phone is nice and all, but I love my cell phone and I am in the market for just a mp3 player, but not a phone. My friend is getting an I-Phone and he thinks i should too.

Well, that depends on you. Do you want an MP3 Player and a Cellphone in one? if so, get the I-Phone if not, get the mp3/Ipod.

Why spend that much on an mp3 player :S? There are plenty other mp3 players that would cost half the price of an iPod Touch, and if you're attached to your cellphone you might as well not throw it away for the iPhone. My suggestion would be getting an iPod video or nano, or an mp3/mp4 from the Sony brand, they cost a lot less.

the iPhone is rumoured not to as good as it should be for the price it is. Alot of people just buy it for the name

I really wanted to have a iPhone but were i am its locked to 02 with rip off rates.... Although i really want it it is just too expensive for what it offers... I just broke my ipod video and my phone is just plain old so i am thinking about getting the iphone... But... at the moment it is too expensive and very likely to be stolen, in school, on street or where-ever...

So im going to wait for a while so it isnt as popular and it'll go down in price and maybe get on some good networks.....

I would say the I-Phone would be your best bet. I am an AT&T subscriber, and currently I have a RAZR V3XX. I paid extra for the unlimited internet service, that is why I suggest an I-Phone.

If you do not have a laptop with wi-fi, or your cellphone (like mine) has limited internet browsing capabilities (the RAZR model I have uses "Opera" as it's browser), I-Phone is a good bet. You can surf and access most sites, and I do believe that you can also load Flash Player and Java to an I-Phone (my RAZR only allows Java).

Also, I-Phone prices have dropped significantly. Unlimited Internet access through AT&T is only $20.00 a month added to your bill. Not a bad deal in my book.

For practicality,
I think you have to buy the MP3, the I-Phone is good, my best friend bought one and it has nice features.
Your phone is still functioning and doing good right>? so, why buy the IPhone, buy the mP3 cause it is not that bulky and it's so cute to bring along.

I think you should wait until they release the new iphone around March to decide. ^_^ It may have better and updated features that may be more appealing to you IMO.

i have three iPods(40gb photo, 160GB video, 16GB new nano)
my advice would be for you to get some other mp3/mp4 player like zune
zune is great, it plays videos wiht that big screen battery is good and i loved the radio thing plus it has wireless syncronization
im talking good about the zune even though im not a big microsoft fan
or you could just get a different mp3 player that doesnt have a big name like ipod/zune and does the same things for less money

Well if I were you I would get an iPod, so you would have some left over money, but that's only if I had to choose between those. If I were me? Well I would probably look around for a good deal on a new Laptop.

If I were you I'd get a Zune.. its common techy knowledge to not get the newest most advanced thing right away, cause one bug could brick it (And the iPhone is the current poster child for bugs)...wait till mid 08 for the iPhone...It needs the time to grow up a little...Also be wary of any new Apple handheld...There have been some serious problems with their Li-Ion batteries, THEY EFFIN EXPLODE!...The kind of thing you think they'd notice if they actually tested their products correctly...So yea go Zune or 3rd party...As for a phone, the V3xx Razr is what I have...I personally can't see the need for anything better...
