Well, just working on my AMV and then all of a sudden the .avi files that im using just start looking like this:

As you can see (or if you can see) they're all pixelated and the colors have been well, messed up.
Anybody know what's going on here? Or know of any .avi codecs that might fix this?

Well, is it just the files or is it your whole computer?
I have no clue, maybe you need to buy a new video card, or maybe the file you were working on got corrupted.

Try reinstalling the codecs, if that doesn't work, try the to reinstall the video driver and if that also doesn't work reinstall the program, but i think that the codecs got corrupted, it happened to me many times before and it was because of the codecs not the program or because of the hardware.

The only files that have been messed up have been the .avi files. The mpeg, xvid, mpeg2, all of those files work fine.
Try reinstalling the codecs, if that doesn't work, try the to reinstall the video driver and if that also doesn't work reinstall the program, but i think that the codecs got corrupted, it happened to me many times before and it was because of the codecs not the program or because of the hardware.
I've tried all of those out a few times actually, but unfortunately none of them worked.

that usually happens when you resize/change the format
it has nothing to do with the hardware,
try downloading an unedited video nd see if the same thing happens
