My computer has a bug atm, a little balloon pops up in the bottom right hand corner, is says "Warning your computer is infected, click here to remove it". Of course i didnt click there. but it keeps popping up and wont go away. I ran avg and ad-aware, they found nothing. What will get rid of it?

go to my computer>drive c:\>program files. and if you see anything that you didnt install, delete it. thats most likely were the source is. (DO NOT DELETE any folders titled "common files" "Windows Nt" you need those. also, wipe out your temporary internet files too. if you need help with anything, just ask :D

Go find a good "hijackthis" forum and ask for their help.
hijackthis is a program that identifies stuff and lets uber software nerds (not me) help virsued people like you.

you could try a program called adware away though it ain't free, judging from your situation you may have an adware. try downloading the free version of ad-aware you can download the latest version here through filehippo.com: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ad-aware/ :mayuri:
----------
another tip: maybe you need to change your antivirus or if it ain't updated update it. most free antivirus software nowadays have adware/spyware/malware removers, i think AVG has a separate program for spyware: http://www.filehippo.com/download_avg_antispyware/
let us know if it works though other members can benefit from your experience :hollowichigo:

I havent encountered any virus yet that has not been removed by either avg and nod32 plus trojan remover, i would say that you check your updates and update manager (both are very vital aspects of the anti-virus).
If the virus is still present download the latest version of both avg, ad-ware and nod32.
