I have an old Mac with OS X. I tried installing Palm Desktop. When I got done it said that I needed to restart the computer to take advantage of the program. I restarted the computer. It shows the apple logo then goes to a screen that says, "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button." Then it has three other languages. I tried holding down power button and reseting it. Neither worked. I was wondering if anybody has ever had this problem or knows about it and can help me. I think I might need to reset the ram or something. I don't know what to do. I have never really had a Mac before this. I have always used a PC. Hope somebody can help.:(

Thanks, but it isn't a laptop.:) That idea would probably work though. I could probably take out the battery on the Main Board. If it similar to a PC that is. I have reset CMOS on PCs before that way. I went to the Apple website and read about it. It is quite a common problem with Mac OS X 10. They said it is called a kernel panic. Guess I will have to get myself a Mac OS X CD. I have to boot it off the CD to fix it or something.
