Hey all. i searched around another forum and found a neat little tool to modify your Windows Xp/2000 Cd to remove all the extra crap you dont want as well as adding updates, service packs, etc to it. i also found a guide to help you make it unnatended so all you have to do is pop in the install cd and go. the program for modifying is known as Nlite and can be found here: http://www.nliteos.com/download.html The unnatend guide can be found here: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/ and the forum i went to for all this stuff is: http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthread.php?t=194443 (and yes my username is Jamesb21222)

yap, i think they're responsible for the vista lite, too. anyway, i have several oem xp cds and what i want to know is how to remove the oem info and limitations from the installer. cos oem cds installs do just the same (installs without further intervention from the end-user no cd-keys/product id needed)... is this possible... i bet there's a way but i guess this'll be ILLICIT, well anyone have ideas and will nlite work? :mayuri:

i saw something about oem in the program but i cant remember .. i doubt that you can remove it though.. but you could try messing with oembios files within the installation.. if you want unnatended windows installation, i made one if you feel like testing it for me. i removed all the extra crap and the iso file is 398mb... if you want to test it, let me know and il make a torrent. (its xp professional corporate(no activation))

Well the windows Xp cd can be modified... Fisrt you have to downlaod nlite from http://www.nliteos.com/download.html
Then install the program on your PC.
Put in your Windows Xp CD
Run the program and follow the instruction....
You add the drivers of installed devices and add Service packs (SP1, SP2, SP3, other windows updates: no need to redownload windows fixes when installing a fresh windows)into the new Win XP
at the end you will get an image that you can burn on a CD...
And here you are .....

thanks for the offer woot_etc i too have a custom xp sp2, pre-NLITE actually. I guess you can only change the OEMINFO from the recovery cd (that i own) it still installs the components but removes the info (using nlite and another program i found, works like nlite too from this website deustch website: http://www.winfuture.de/. i checked the folders and the OEM manufacturers' info is changed but default folders are still there, well what's good is that it is pre-activated and never needs to be activated or whatever (no WGA nag screens). Anyway thanks for looking it up, if you have other great finds just post 'em here we'll exploit 'em, i mean, EXPLORE.. hehe:D. :mayuri:
