cherry38 and myself are going to direct this RPG and we hope to get your participating heartedly ^-^

Once we make sure the RPG is rated above the average and gets your attention, cherry38 will present you with the actual RP Thread.


*&^.Fighters of the Kann: Underground War.^&*

Backstory: We live in the isolated jungle village of Kann. We lived well, albeit primitively, until the infamous Sapphire Organization's militia invaded the country to fuel its growing empire. We, the villagers, were being sorely oppressed by the new governing power, and with nothing left, there are only two choices: escape to another country, or fight?

Story Extension: The first escape attempts go awry, and things go from bad to unthinkable as the new government starts cracking down. The villagers go into hiding to create a fighting force against the intruders, and ultimately, to destroy Sapphire!

Extra information: Players will not have spirit powers; instead, they will fight using conventional weapons, or fists, depending on personal style. Eventually, the Fighters of Kann may differentiate into "teams" that specialize in offense, defense, healing, etc.

ROLE PLAYERS:

- 20 people will role play as the villagers.

- After observing how you play for a week you will be PMed by either cherry38 or Ru_kia and will be made known of your team. Offense, defense, healing or other. You are free to choose what kind of sword you will fight with, but it has to be approved first.

- 10 people will role play as the Sapphire Organization’s militia.

- The Sapphire Organization does not work as a whole. Each person in the militia has distinct abilities. You are required to present an outstanding character profile to get into the militia.

Clothing: He wears a Black rain coat with its sleeves torn off. He also wears a black pants and a grey shirt also with its sleeves torn off. On his hands is a pair of black leather gloves. On his feet are lightweight but durable boots, can you guess the color? yep, black.

Personality: He thought that everyone should have fought while all of our numbers were higher. Now he thinks that in order to save everyone else he needs to fight alone. He is one quick with revenge... right now his revenge's wrath is on the Sapphire Organization. Whenever his fellow villagers is under attack he will be there to avenge the ones that died, and to get revenge for the pain that was caused.

Name: Stark Halfan
Age: 27
Why and how have you joined the militia (parts from your past + has to be at least 5 lines): When Stark was a young child, he witnessed the brutal murder of his parents. This did not scar him though, as he hated them anways. The government decided to place Stark in several different foster homes and orphanages. After three months in each place, every one of the homes and orphanages kicked him out, for various reasons. Finally, when he was 13, he was sent to Gunn Military Academy. While there, Stark not only exceeded in swordsmanship and hand to hand combat, but also strategy and tactics as well. Normally, a person graduated from the Academy at the age of 20. Stark graduated at 17. For a while, he worked as a soldier for hire, helping many armies and governments supress rebellions and organize coups. But when the employers realized how dangerous Stark was, they quickly fired him. When he turned 23, Sapphire Organization approached him with an offer. They said that they had been watching him ever since he graduated from the Academy, and realized his full capability. They offered him a job as an officer in their army, with a full commision. Stark saw what Sapphire could offer him, and quickly took the offer. Ever since, Stark has been included in Sapphire Organization take over of several countries. He is now stationed in Kann, where he is being used to develope tactics to crush the people of Kann's rebellions.

Personality (this has to be at least 5 lines): Stark is a very cold person. He has absolutely no feelings towards anybody, as he thinks they are all expendable. When commanding a battle, he will use any tactic to win, no matter what the cost of human life. During a sword fight, he believes in honor and will use no foul or unfair tricks to win. He often is very cruel to his inferiors, and has known to be highly malicious against rebels and opposing armies, offering no quarter of mercy.

Extra information (to make you stand out from the rest): Stark usually will fight and command battles at the same time, using a carefully organized system of hand codes that are sent from him to an officer standing away from the battle, who will then relay the message to the other troops.

While Stark sleeps, he always keeps his right arm out of the bed and laid out on a table. He will have a pencil in his hand, and paper laid out under the hand. During his sleep his hand will slowly draw battle plans for the next battle he will have. When he awakes, he gives the plans to other officers. The most amazing thing is that the plans are made specifically for the next battle. Lets say that there was an enemy reinforcmant team hiding in the woods. The plans Stark wrote would reveal the exact location of these soldiers and how to beat them.

Why and how have you joined the militia (parts from your past + has to be at least 5 lines):

Little is known about Eva's past, she grew up in a small town which was conquered by the Sapphire Organization. She remembers little about her family for they died with the villagers when the Sapphire organization conquered their village. Ever since then she has been a wanderer but as the days grew longer she grew tired and finally when her body couldn’t stand the heat and the starvation she collapsed. As she woke up she found herself in a strange room and as if by faith she soon found out that she was in the sapphire organization. She was then trained how to fight and how to serve for their purpose alone

Personality (this has to be at least 5 lines):

She is a quiet and silent person she prefers to sit alone since she was used to living alone in her childhood. She prefers to work alone and refuses help even if she needs it. She detests those who think of themselves highly but due to her personality she doesn’t really show it. She thinks clearly even when in the middle of battles and is ready to sacrifice her life when it is needed. She knows her place and doesn’t complain when given orders.

Extra information (to make you stand out from the rest):

Due to her continuous training she was able to excel in most combat forms like hand to hand combat as well as handling almost any weapon. She is flexible and can handle whatever situation there is she is experienced in fighting as well as killing so she wouldn’t have any second thoughts in killing someone whether a child or an adult. She specializes in killing and assault due to her training she can easily move in the shadows and or pursue someone without much effort due to her speed.

Joel lives about two miles away from the village. Which mean he is separated from it, but not completely. He was an official "Hunter", He hunted for various things. Whether it be for lost treasures or simply hunting down food. He was in many life threatening situations and is wanted by many organizations. However, his identity is unknown to all of them. For security reasons he has an underground hideout under his home. This also gives him everything he needs to defend himself.

While not on a job, he was at home and enjoyed spending time with the villagers. He enjoyed fishing and other small activities while he was in the village.

That sounds interesting Blackout, but I am afraid you cannot be wanted by organisations and please remember you lived in the village with your fellow villagers with only little contact with the outside world.

It is preferrable also that all members role playing as the villagers are in favour of acting as a team rather than individuals.

Personality: He was always the optimist. His parent's deaths (they both caught a terrible disease and died) changed him forever. He is now still cheery most of the time but every once in a while he will get serious and mad at everyone. Zaki loves to fish so much he always carries a fishing pole around with him wherever he goes. His relationship with the villagers is great. He considers them as family. He occasionally picks fights too as he is cheery but quick tempered. He would do anything to protect his village. Zaki also loves to eat bananas. He can communicate with nature as well and talks with animals all the time.

I want to get into the Villagers Team

Name: Harajan Tesla
Age: 29
Eye colour: Hazel
Hair colour: Jet Black

Clothes: Sturdy black boots. Serviceable dark pants. Her clothes are practical and not something to which she gives much thought. The only remarkable part of her wardrobe is the strange leather and metal harness that she constantly wears strapped on over her tanks tops. It's usually empty but meant to carry weapons or tools of some sort.


Personality: Harajan is sort of an outcast. She left the village after a fatal accident involving her fiancee when she was only 19. She returned home after 8 years, a stranger to her own people. She doesn't speak of the past eight years - and it's just as well. She had been transformed dramatically by the tragedy that she had suffered and had long ago left behind the soft spoken -and sweet natured girl that her old friends remember. She had once taken up with a band of mercenaries - became one herself, a killer for hire. That lifestyle lost it's shine after a while - and that was the point at which she decided to revisit her past. These days, she lives in the hills just beyond the village where she cultivates exotic medicinal plants. Due to necessity, she had to learn a great deal about healing and it seemed only logical to fall back on that once she returned to Kann.

Harajan has something of an abrasive nature. She prefers to act rather than talk and tends to be impatient with anyone who can't get to the point of a discussion fast enough for her taste. When the Sapphire Organization arrives, it's only natural for her to take up arms for her people, despite that fact that she isn't openly accepted as one of them.

To the Sapphire militia:

gammaakutabi52 brought up a good point about the weapons used in the militia.

What weapons are okay, and from what era?

Stick with swords, arrows/crossbows, and cannons for now, but as a general rule, nothing more advanced than 1700's weaponry (so old-style rifles and pistols are fine, but no laser-guns or .44 Mag's).

Feel free to "invent" your own weapons, if you want to, just make sure they use the same basic technology.

Weapons using "Forbidden Ki" (a.k.a. Dark Magic) will only be available to a select few, at the discretion of Lord F'airre (moi).

Well, Sapphire's mostly interested in conquering Our Land for the purposes of making its "new World" empire continuous. Basically, we want to own everything.:D
As for benefits, taxing the poor villagers helps us fund our war... and, I guess the land could provide some rich resources, too; I hadn't given that a whole lot of thought.
It's mostly just property lust, though.:cool:

Age: 28

Why and how have you joined the militia (parts from your past + has to be at least 5 lines):
His family has been part of the military for hundreds of generations, a tradition that he himself continues. At first, it seemed like he would have no future within the military, until his strategic talent was discovered by his superiors. Although a private, he managed to assist in the capture of a vital communications outpost with a single firing squad, a feat that is not easy to achieve, without obtaining casualties within his team. From then on, he became a major tactician in the military, fighting on the front lines with his own unique weapons. As his career progresses, he gained a couple promotions to greater fields of power, and gained enough trust in order to continue his work as a front-line tactician, giving new combat orders based on judgment from the battle situation. A great general once said that a leader does not tell his troops how to do a mission, instead tell his troops what to do, and they will prevail with their creativity. With this in mind, Nelhyvel's forces remain a main component in the militia's many campaigns, including the crushing of rebellions.

Personality (this has to be at least 5 lines):
Calm and collected, Matthias is a difficult guy to get on the wrong side with. However, when he considers one his enemy, that person would be looking over his shoulder at times, to see whether he is planning some sort of back stab. In battle, he is considerate of his men's ability to fight, constantly updating his master plan as new developments occur. It is said that he could come up with several battle plans for his troops while fighting off the enemy on the front line. When his enemies surrender, he takes them in, regardless of the hassle, taking them to the back of the army to be properly handled by his men. For this reason, Matthias is not often trusted with covert operations by the militia.

Extra information (to make you stand out from the rest):
He wears a signature hat, called a hat terrai gurkha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat_Terrai_Gurkha), tilted to the side in a typical fashion, the rim touching his right ear. His other clothes are of standard uniform. His strategies are sometimes unorthodox, causing some questioning among the higher-ups, but his schemes are all based towards achieving the objective in the best method possible.

(Random comments. Sadly I have never seen a member of Singapore's Gurkha Contingent, even though I have done a bit of research about them prior to spending time there.))

Well, as I told the militia, nothing more technologically advanced than 1700's (see post #18), but if you want anything special, just run it by Ru_kia, since she's in charge of the villagers.

Why and how have you joined the militia (parts from your past + has to be at least 5 lines):

Twenty-one years ago Cloud held his own father in his arms and his blood fell to the ground. " Son promise you will never fail your mother like I have. " Those were the last words to utter out of his fathers mouth and from that day forward Cloud swore to uphold his family name. A rouge left on the streets, he learned the art of Bōjutsu. Fighting his whole life he finally found his way out. The Militia. Cloud wouldnt let anything stand in his way, he had something to prove and wouldnt move till he was accepted.

Personality (this has to be at least 5 lines):
Living on the streets has made Cloud a cold person. His speed however is second to none. Learning to fight was the hardest thing Cloud ever did because he had to disregard Love and turn everything he had to anger or else it would all be over. The only person he was ever able to open up to died. Left shattered and broken he turned back to fighting.

Extra information (to make you stand out from the rest):
Cloud always has a bottle of sake attached to his side and with his Bō on his back walks carefully and causuoisly. Over the years Cloud has developed a photografic memory. Still at the ripe age of 37 Cloud is unmatched in Bōjutsu.

You have been given the rank of Sergeant, and have been assigned to the team heading to Dam. You report directly to Lieutenant Colonel Matthias Nelhyvel (dubtiger), who reports directly to Lord F'airre (me).
To attain a promotion to Master Sergeant (or C. Srg-Major; but I didn't know what that meant, so I went with the American equivalent), you must prove your capabilities in the course of the Game and submit a strong argument as to why you deserve a promotion. You may apply for promotion at any time.
Colonel Stark Halfan (gammaakutabi52) and Captain Eva (aquaticblue) may pull rank on you, but they are not on your team, so Lieutenant Colonel Melhyvel's orders recieve priority. And, of course, so do mine, but you don't report to me directly, unless it is a dire emergency.

Alright Additional Info... Reverix Severrin Came from a village Extreamly Far Away from Kann and was an important figure there as well as 3rd leader of the military forces.That was before Saphire came and because they resisted destroyed everything he knew and loved.After the battle in which only he survived he took on powerful dark magic giving him spells noone could stand up to but destroying Reverix inside making him cruel and uncaring for almost everything{this is also how his eyes turned black}

Reverix carries a sword with a diomand crested prommel that is wrapped in red grip cloth is the blade is Entierly black and 5ft long It is imbued in powerful magic.

i left something out here is what my clothing looks like i also left out some of his abillities as you can probably already tell Reverix is extreamly powerful with magic and is also able to fight on par with the worlds best swordsman in addition he is extreamly fast..

Bojutsu is literally "staff art" - meaning that he is skilled in the use of staves.

Personality: he is a fun person hes never serious about things but his smilly face shirts likes to fight alot to keep his strength up he sikes his opponents out by playing with them into a fight, he hangs out alot with his freinds and his crew he regards many things about life kanta likes to live it without being messed with, Kanta also likes to help his freinds and other people out with there problems

Character's Bio: Kanta at the age of 15 had left his life back in the depths of his mind home never thinking about it, he left becuase of his older brother killing his mother and father without any regards as they were drove him crazy, so he left not even telling any one by his own will . So he travels town to town to rest after 4 years he gains a new freind named Zetsuei and live with him, Kanta and Zetsuei do jobs for other people rising from fights to working with his new life he lives in peace still searching for his brother

Why and how I have joined the militia: Ceridion is from a powerful noble family in the Northern kingdom. He is the 2nd son of his father the grand duke and therefore will not inherit the title or land. Therfore Ixion decided to pursue scholarly goals like medicine and science. When His father pledged allegience to Lord F'airre Ceridion was ordered to serve him. Ceridions record there is magnificent. Much of the Sapphire Organizations new weapons were designed by him as well as a few emergency medical techniques. He now joins his lord in its conquest of whats called Our Land by the natives to create technilogical solutions to any problems faced there. Ceridion also hopes that with a new land it will bring new break throughs and hopes to commence a few research projects as well.

personality: Ceridion is brilliant and in many ways could be considered a genius. Due to the fact that he was the second in line he was always considered unimportant and this has driven Ceridion to have a huge determination to prove his worth and become the best. He also is greatly devoted to his lord as he has taken notice of his abilities and has given more power to pursue knowledge to Ceridion than he could have ever hoped to achieve on his own. Ceridion is also a noble and carries with him a sense of duty and superiority and always expects to referred by either lord or his rank by his subordinates. All nobles of the house of Wynala are trained for battle and Ceridion combines this with a combination of intellect and custom crafted weopons of deadly force. Ceridion is always known to be calm and collected and never loses his temper.

Extra Information: well to sum up Ceridion he is a brilliant doctor both in operation room and in battle. A inventor of weapons and other usefull things And a battle tactician. His body is also loaded with a variety of defensive mechanisms and weapons. His ultimate goal in "Our land" is to find a rare exotic plant that can be used to create an elixer that will create rapid cell regeneration in other words heals wounds fast. Did I mention he's brilliant and adapts quickly to a variety of situations.

Also, a little more about Ki:Ki is just another name for magic. It involves channeling the magic in the atmosphere through one's Sight, and combining it with one's own life energy to use a technique. Sort of like chakra in the Naruto series. The main thing that differentiates True Ki from Forbidden Ki is the intent. For example, an intent to heal or protect would be True Ki, while an intent to kill or control would be Forbidden Ki. There are some instances, however, when a killing spell could be considered True Ki, and a healing spell could be considered Forbidden Ki.

"True Ki" is White Magic. Generally speaking, it includes healing, shielding, and some other types of spells, depending on intent. An example is the transportation spell that Khan Shahkura used at the beginning of the Game.

"Forbidden Ki" is Black Magic. Generally speaking, it includes killing, maiming, controlling, and spells containing malintent. This includes the "Mind Crush" and "Mind Hold" techniques I used on Reverix and Stark.

MOST IMPORTANTLY:
Remember God-moding is SO off-limits.

Ru_kia a bounty hinter is a person who hunts people down for money whether it be to kill them for money or to just find and capture them usually it's because the person they are hunting down offended or owes money to a very powerful person like for example i borrow money from the mob if i do not pay it back they could either hire someone from their own organization to do it or put a "bounty" on my head in which a person would hunt me down And when they found me they would either kill me or take me back to the people who placed the bounty and receive some kind of reward usually money :D

and yea exams are coming up for me next week

I was about to declare the game terminal as well, and it's partly my fault for not getting the storyline moving again. I guess another thing is that we just don't have enough players to keep it interesting.
Let's put it to a vote. Who wants to keep the game going, and who wants to end it, since no one has played for a long while?

If we choose to keep going, that means everyone has to do their part in posting and inviting others to join the RP.

If we choose to close it, I will PM Xabre and ask him to close the threads for us.
