Hmmm... I consider metal bands to be different than hardcore bands.

Metal to me is the infamous: Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Pantera. Not in that order!

But more recently: Glassjaw (seems nice), System of a Down, and I kind of miss Sick of it All. They were the same time as some of the older bands, but they were hardcore before there was hardcore.

Then there's the classics that aren't heavy metal or hardcore: Led Zepplin, Guns N Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Hole, Meat Puppets (if you like nirvana...you'll love the band they stole all their music from!), Aerosmith, Cream, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Jethro Tull, David Bowe, John Lennon...Rolling Stones......I could go on forever and still miss some of the best classic rock bands.

But this isn't even counting...a lot of other great stuff.

I wonder why you need metal music asap?

Thy Majestie, Their earlier Album entitled "Hastings: 1066" would be a good start for this band.

Racer X, If you like some more 80's themed Metal then this one might be worth a look, From their "Street Lethal" album to the latest would be good. :)

In My oppinion, i think Rammstein rock my socks off, but you simply HAVE to adore black sabbath and metalica, aswell as iron maiden!
