Does anyone know which ISP has the best value for my buck? I need some help to decide which new ISP i'll get. I currently run PeoplePC dialup, so you'll understand why im upgrading to a high speed connection.

Fresno is the sixth-largest city in California and the county seat of Fresno County.
more info can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresno,_California)

Check to see if verzion offers their FiOS Internet is aviable. Their cheapest package is $40 a month and its 5 Mbps/2 Mbps (Downlink / Uplink).

Their bigest is 30 Mbps/5 Mbps for about $180 a month.

Here is a link:
www22.verizon.com/content/consumerfios/packages+and+prices/packages+and+prices.htm

If it was aviable where i live i would get it.

ISPs varry greatly due to location. Fios is def nice if its in your area. I have a cable modem from Cablevision, im lucky and sit right on a pipe running from NY to Philadelphia so i get blazing speeds (8 down 2 up) for 29.99 (with triple play package). I would stear clear of DSL and satillite and go with fios or cable. Then again a line of tutrles with 1's and 0's on their backs is as good as dial up so anything is an improvement. I didnt read rules about posting links so i wont advritise any site but there are plenty that review ISPs i would check one out and see what they say.

lol, talking about dream speed , my would be OC-255 (optical)with a speed of 13.271Gbps, that translates to be able to download a 4.7GB dvd in about 3seconds, while the fiber optics can actually transfer data that fast i have never heard of a hard drive or hardware that can transffer that amount of data that fast, lol, nd i am a computer engineer

i have been using fios for a while nd gotta tell u i love it
get it if you can

Omg, i didnt even know a speed like that was even possible..... but why would you even need something that fast? well, i have a friend in south carolina who has the fastest FIOS package and he says it flies. and my comcast (cable) is pretty fast now. (10-15 Mbps) too bad we dont have fios in my area...

PS: how much would that oc-255 cost :D
