Computer problems...

Allright, so I am attempting to figure out how to burn dvd's from my computer and I burned a cd, with 4 video's when I go to play them it pops up a menu which gives me the option of which to play, then 3 of them say mpg next to them and they work just fine, but one of them says AV1 and it won't play.

If someone knows what this is about please help ty.

1) it sounds like you didn't burn in dvd format. It sounds more like vcd or svcd. If you burned in dvd format, you wouldn't see multiple video's on the welcome screen or .mpg or .avi

2) most people don't know that you need certain dvd players (or region unlock codes) to be able to play burned dvd's or cdr's. Does your dvd player say that it plays divx media? or compact disc media?

3) what program / s did you use to format and burn your compilation? what kind of media are you using? did you use Nero? clonedvd? ect. . . .

4) I'll walk you through this as soon as you post the info.

ok I burned it again and it works just fine but it skips ALOT and it not smooth at all.

I burned it at medium speed instead but it still skipped, should I try to burn it at the slowest pace possible? would that do anything?

o.k. atleast I know your burning in the right format now. what program are you using? do you know the specs. of your computer? if not go to your start menu. click on run. type DXDIAG.EXE when it comes up. click on save all info. cut and paste it in here or just send it to me in a pm. this will cut out ALOT of guess work as to whats going on.
