Re: [5th Division] Shinigami Tales
Part 1 - Person
The Basics
Name: Kaori Shigoto
Age: 119
Age Appearance: About 20
Appearance
Height: 5 feet 3 inches
Body Type: Kaori's body type would be considered average, although more on the slim/petite side. Her body appears less "feminine" than most, but she doesn't completely look like a guy in that way either.
Hair Color/Length: Her hair is a rich red colour and very long, flowing down her back and ending at her tailbone when she lets it loose out of its usual high ponytail.
Eye Color: Kaori's eyes are a shocking shade of golden yellow, one of her more dominant features.
Uniform: Kaori's shihakusho is worn off-the-shoulders and secured by a white satin sash that is tied around her neck, which matches the material of the yukata she wears beneath the standard black uniform, as well as the cloth belt tied around her waist. The uniform itself is a more feminine version of the usual shinigami robes; the skirt stops about mid-thigh.
Distinguishing Features: There are no markings on Kaori's body, but she does have two extra piercings in her left ear in addition to the regular ear piercings in both ears. She also has a mysterious navel piercing that the has no memory of getting. Although she still wears a jewel there, she keeps it hidden most of the time.

Personality
Personality: Kaori is a very hyper and childlike person, but she also has her moments where she seems extremely intelligent. Both of these are aspects of her personality; she firmly believes in keeping her inner child alive. She is also notoriously lazy, never wanting to do anything unless she absolutely has to. Of course, she is never lazy when it comes to her..."experiments", as well as collecting data for them.
Part 2 - Character History
Pre-Shinigami Years: Kaori was born in the Soul Society from a servant of one of the noble households. As she grew into a young woman, she too was obligated to assume the duties of a servant, constantly being given the responsibility of dusting the extensive amount of llama sculptures that her eccentric master was so fond of collecting, as well as scraping huge wads of chewing gum from under garden chairs, large fountains, and other arbitrary places, forced to wear a horribly degrading maid outfit all the while. Her menial tasks did not stop there, but they only got more embarrassing as the list went on.
Even though he annoyed her, Kaori was secretly fond of her master, and the two shared an odd tsundere-yandere relationship as a result. But alas, Kaori grew bored of her sadistic master's odd requests, the once interesting (yet horribly strenuous) odd-jobs gradually becoming tedious and mundane. She eventually mustered up the guts to tell her master she wanted to quit, and even though he chased her for several miles when she tried to leave, Kaori eventually lost him, and set foot into the wondrous center of the Seireitei. She knew not what wonders she would behold here, but at least she was away from that guy. Part 3 - Shinigami History
Shinigami Academy through Gotei 13 divisions and current: After wandering aimlessly through the Seireitei for a few days, Kaori began to doubt her purpose, wondering if she really would have been better off working for the noble, because at least in his mansion she had a bed and food and clothes (even if she hated them). She started to wander back toward the hills, subconsciously worrying about how her master would do without her. That, and she was tired as heck, and the stereotypical brown tattered cloak she wore since leaving the nobles' estates was really starting to get old.
But then, she stumbled upon... a building. It was just like any other building, really. Actually, Kaori thought it was more on the old and decrepit side of the "building" spectrum. But still, she was exhausted from her journey and she hoped they had one of those water coolers with the little cone shaped cup dispensers, 'cause she was seriously dehydrated. So she went inside. But it turned out that it was just some place where people applied to be "THE NEXT HEROIC DEFENDERS OF THE UNIVERSE" (or so the sign said). She figured she had nothing to lose, so she signed up, figuring she could quit in two weeks after her first paycheck if she didn't like the job.
Except Kaori didn't read the fine print. So she passed through the Soul Reaper Academy with mediocre grades, and when they finally tossed her those "sacred black garments of eternal loyalty", Kaori found that she was embarking on a whole new adventure. An adventure that, at least, didn't include freaky llama sculptures and embarrassing maid outfits.
