? for those of you in a Division

Not sure if this was maybe brought up before (I don't think it has...). If it has, gomen. I just really would like to know. If it needs to be moved, then please do so.

What made you choose the squad that you're currently in?

I'm interested in joining one and have checked out the different recruitment threads... only there's one problem... they all sound good! So what was it that turned you to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on?

I'm in the 3rd, I had made a friend in there before joining (metal_luke) and I liked the 3rd division from the anime.

I made the right choice too the people are great and it's a good laugh.

to be honest,
me at first.. o found it kinda hard to deal with other people and even got a sermon..but as time passes by, i learned my mistakes and use them for me to move on..
and then,
i also found myself worthy allies^^. since they are really so nice,
i don't have to mention names cause all of them are so nice..12TH DIVISION!!

Thanks James. Its actually quite funny, because thats the same reason I joined the division.
I made friends with Khia when she was in 3rd division (No longer with us )
Also I liked 3rd division from the anime and even though Gin is evil, he is still pretty cool.

well to be honest
i wanted to base my choice on the anime, so i wanted to check the 2nd and the 11th division here in BA. it wasnt like i wished it to be (no offence its just my personal taste). so i went to see the other divisions and i saw the 8th had the charactistics that suited me and took a look at the threads there. so yeah finally i applied there and i certainly dont regret it . the people there are so amazing!

though
in the anime, the 2nd and 11th division remains my favorites
but in BA, not a division ROXX like the 8th XD

From the anime I like 10th divison cos I love but I find myself is more into science.So I apply into 12th so I can involve in lab activities..and I choose a right division...All the members are great, the taichou, fukutaichou and all seated officer are very nice n warm...

I'm only a recruit, but I'll add my two sense (cents?) anyway.

I originally joined the 3rd, but I didn't fit in as well. The vice-Captain and Captain there are great people who tried to get me "in", but eventually, my lack of posts made us go our separate ways, and I apologize to them for that. I wasn't cut out for the 3rd.

But now, I am in the 5th, and I think it's great! Everyone is ready to welcome you, and the art/poem thread and the music thread are a lot of fun to look through!

Remember, just because a Squad acts a certain way on the show, DOES NOT mean they are the same way here. These are NOT the Captains and officers that are on the show, but actual Bleach fans like you and me, who feel a great devotion to promoting the Bleach fanbase and celebrating Manga and friendship in general.

My advice to anyone seeking to join a Division is to get to know the members of that Division (look at their posts and see how they act and react), and look at the kind of threads that would be available to you as a member there.

Choose the Division that fits your personality, and not just your tastes.

I asked the same question posted here but they haven't move it, so I guess it's okay to just situate it here (no one will bite anyway)

Now for my answer, though I'd like to say that I'm an unofficial member of the 6th (I did not apply, I got it from invitation =P), I chose the 6th division because I've found most of their members are approachable and friendly.

Second to my list was the 13th division, with the same reason as well. Specially because my sister is there (it would be easier to roam around when you know that there's someone beside you, seriously.)

The only thing that differed them is because I loved Byakuya more than Ukitake, so I guess there's a tight contest within the two XD

But my first choice in coming here was the sixth, so there I would go. =)

Well In the anime I really liked the 13th division and especially Ukitake, I really like how he leads his division and his behaviour towards his subordinates. So I decided to check BA's 13th out and the members are really friendly and nice and so I decided that the 13th had to be the best one for me. You should just take a look at all the divisions here and decide what fits you best. The one you like in the anime could be a good indication but you shouldn't base your decision just on that.
