The Zanpakutou Realm

In a special building standing near the 13th division headquarters, a dark and misty realm awaits all division members that choose to enter. Within the mist is the reflection of the inner mind, a world that only the individual inside can see.

General Information:
1 - The mists
These are a special reiatsu charged substance that glows subtly in the darkness, which is why electricity is not required within the structure. These mists reflect a shinigami's inner world and project it around them. They span throughout every room in the structure, so more than one person can be in the building at the same time even though they are of very different power levels.

For captains through 5th seats, this comes almost naturally and their world is as vivid as if they were actually standing in it. For 6th through 10th seats, the world appears to be a little hazy but still there. 11th through 15th seats are basically standing within a mirage. It seems like it is there but one wrong look and it could disappear. For 16th seat through recruit, the world is nothing more than a hazy imprint of an image; One may simply think they are having weak hallucinations.

2 - Manifestations
Manifestations do appear within the mist, depending once again on the reiatsu strength of the person entering the building. For captains through 5th seat, this is a natural occurrence. They barely have to think and their manifestation appears. For 6th through 10th seat, they must concentrate hard for a good while before finally getting their manifestation to come forth. 11th seat through Recruit must stab into the flat and nondescript dummy used in some manners of bankai training (like the one when Ichigo was training with Youroichi).

3 - Other People
In regards to other members of the division being able to be in this place at once, I suggest 'spacing out', especially if you are of completely different levels. If a captain is sitting next to a recruit, their reiatsu level will prevent the viewing of the recruit's inner world. If you are of like seats, for example if the Vice Captain and 3rd seat walk in to the building together, then their spirits and even inner worlds will mesh and coexist. This is especially good for those wishing to spar within. It will be impossible for two people of two very different ranks to spar in this place.

* Know that the closer one is to recruit level, the more strain the manifestation of one's spirit will put on the body.


Rules:
1 - This is a 13th division exclusive thread. This means that only members of this division may post here.

2 - This is a serious RP thread. Please make sure each post is 100+ words or it will be removed.

3 - Please obey all established forum rules. This means absolutely no swearing, flaming, baiting, and all of that good stuff.

4 - Any spars to take place within this realm must be requested through Star-Taichou or Nevaeh-Fukutaichou first. We will then decided whether or not to allow it.

Val stepped through the doorway of the new building the taichou and fukutaichou had ordered the construction of. He'd seen it being slowly built but he'd yet to actually step inside once it'd been completed. The doors creaked open of their own accord before him as he approached, cold mists spilling out around the ankles of his shihakusho, causing them to flap around him. There was darkness as he stepped over the threshold...and then bright whiteness, glaring in his eyes and causing him to avert his gaze as the first drifts of snow descended thick and heavy from above.

The winter snow wasteland that made up his inner world materialised around him and in the centre, Shiro, the manifestation of his zanpakutou, Seiken, stood before him. White robes flapping around him, blank eyes regarding him, he waited with hands in his pockets. As Val drew near, the spirit raised a hand in greeting.

Wow...this place is something, huh? Just think...I don't have to wait for you to die every time you visit. It's quite brilliant. Remind me to thank your very fine fukutaichou when she comes to visit too. She'll stop by some time, right? I hate only having to keep looking over these rather...revealing photos of her...

Val raised an eyebrow, taking a few steps forward before lunging for them , his hands batted aside by Shiro, a light but forceful kick tossing him aside into the snow. The shinigami growled but the spirit just tucked the pictures back into his robes and hauled him to his feet. You know...if you wanted to see these you could've just asked. I think Arashi is in here too actually...

"I wanted them to get rid of them." Val frowned at the slightly unbelievable nature of his reason before sighing and shrugging his shoulders. He looked over at the spirit. "So...what do we do now?"

Want to play cards...?

Val sighed heavily again and took a stance, resting his hand on his zanpakutou. "I thought we'd try something less reliant on holographic monsters..." With a burst of speed, he lunged forward, slashing in a wide arc for the spirit, the latter's own giant sword slashing down from across his back in a block, the sound of clashing blades reverberating around the still snowy wasteland.

The gentle rustle of the wind through the branches could be heard as Star silently walked up to the newest addition to the thirteenth division's sector in Seireitei. As she approached the entryway, the doors gently opened of their own accord to admit her. Star visibly flinched upon entering the building because of the sudden freezing air that blew in her face. Star looked around at the snowy landscape and sighed at the beauty of this wintry world. Her peaceful thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the harsh, metallic ring of clashing swords. Star's head snapped toward the sound.

Ah...So this is what Val's inner world looks like. It's the complete opposite of mine.

Star extends a hand further into the mist. She points her index finger toward the right side of the room, and calls her inner world forth. The right side of the room instantly blurs and reforms from the tranquil white powder, to brimstone and jets of flames erupting from the earth. The blazing heat of Star's world, mixes with the freezing temperatures of Val's world making the room strangely comfortable. As soon as Star thinks she's about to break into a sweat, the cool air comes across and evens the temperature out again.

Star takes one shunpo and positions herself directly in the middle of her manifested, inner world. She then thinks, Will you join me, Sonoshikyo?

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The sound of a colossal being walking across the landscape can be heard getting closer. The ground begins to quake a tiny bit as the spirit makes his way to Star's side. Star smiles adoringly up at the magnificent, skeletal dragon before her.

"Welcome back to Seireitei, Sono. It's been a while since you've been freed of my inner psyche."

Sonoshikyo's blazing, crimson eyes gleam lovingly as he drops his head to the ground with a quiet thud, so that he can be on the same level as Star. Star walks up to the fearsome beast and lays a gentle hand on his horned head.

"It's good to see you face-to-face in a peaceful manner, little one."

As another chilled breeze brushes across Star's skin, she is reminded of Val's presence. Star presses her back up against one of Sonoshikyo's claws and slides down to the ground. The two sit quietly, enjoying each others' presence, and watch Val spar with his zanpakutou spirit.

As the doors to the zanpakutou realm creaked open, Nevaeh stepped forward into the lightly glowing mist. Breathing in deeply, she watched as the mists fluctuated and softly began to reflect her inner world. Soon the image was as real as if she had walked into her mind. Observing the slight changes within her world such as there actually being a substantial layer of snow covering the ground and the sakura tress and the fact that it was daytime, she quickly realized that both Val and Star were present in the room.

Feeling the mists swirl around her for a moment, she suddenly heard the high-pitched voice of Arashi ring out like wind chimes on the breeze. The short and lithe woman went bounding past Nevaeh, flailing her arms slightly as she yelled.

"Shiro-kun! I am so glad to see you. Stop fighting Val right now and pay attention to me!"

Hearing a deep chuckle behind her, Nevaeh turned to see Kyoubou standing close with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Quite demanding isn't she? Did you come here to spar then or what?"

Nevaeh shrugged, still surprised by Arashi's suddenly needy behavior.

"I don't know if I will spar or not. I thought you would enjoy getting out for awhile though...Since when is Arashi so...so...."

"Needy? Since always...she gets boy crazy. There is apparently more you could learn about us before being our full master then."

"I didn't think knowing Arashi's dating preference was that important..."

Muttering under her breath, she then turned and looked at Star, seeing the immense dragon next to her.

"Yo. How's it going, Taichou?"

Star watches in wonder as the room changes yet again.
I simply adore this mist. The mixture of climates are endless!

Star knows right away who just walked in as she watches the spirit-woman rush toward Val's spirit. Ah...Neva's here.

A low rumble vibrates through Star's back, so she glances back at Sonoshikyo to see the crimson glow gone in his eyes and a small jet of flame flickering from the side of his mouth. Sonoshikyo's massive head was lolled to one side as he snored as quietly as a monstrous beast could manage. Star chuckled to herself and then turned back to see Neva approaching her.

"Yo. How's it going, Taichou?"

Star raises her right hand and gives a small wave to her comrade, then pats the ground next to her in invitation for Neva to join her. Quietly, Star replies, "Ah. I'm doing well, Neva. Letting your spirits have a small vacation?"

Behind her, Sonoshikyo snorts once and then continues to snore without waking up. Star giggles at her massive companion's ability to sleep so soundly.

Val leapt back, resting his zanpakutou across his shoulder, breathing heavily. It was harder fighting Shiro when he had the same speed...but greater strength powered behind his giant two-handed sword. And the spirit also had the advantage of not needing to see with his eyes, feeling the flow of their blades without any effort.

Their swords had cut webs of metal faster than the eye could see and only natural combat instinct allowing him to parry attack after attack. Yet somehow it was only him that had taken any damage, bloody gashes appearing across his upper arms and shoulder blades. Shiro yawned expansively and with the sole intention of annoying him.

Then a familiar voice called over to them. No...not them but to Shiro. He looked over to see a well proportioned blue female bounding towards them. At first, Val couldn't put where he'd heard that voice before until he noticed something curious about the female; the presence of mouse ears on top of her head. That surely wasn't...

Hello, Arashi. How're ya doing? Shiro placed a foot on Val's shoulder and pushed him aside, tumbling away into the snow, as he straightened his robes and hefted his sword over his shoulder, raising a hand in greeting. You're looking quite fine today, if I must say so myself.

Val rose slowly, attempting to stop bleeding everywhere as he made his way over to where the taichou and Neva-fukutai sat, slumping down next to her and ignoring the large dragon and other figure in red. "Err...yeah. Shiro's being weird right now. I think I'm just going to leave him to his own devices for now."

~oooohhhh... Sugoi...
Azure looked upon this magnificent place standing before him as his mouth was half an inch open and can't believe what his eyes were seeing from that moment. Azure was then standing on the doorway as he felt a sudden cold feeling from his back, Azure shrugged his shoulders for a while.

~What a strange feeling..
He then stared at the two doors as he seems to feel huge amounts of reiatsu inside. Azure leaped his left foot as he started to walks towards the gate when..

He suddenly heard someone calling through his name.. Although Azure can't seem to feel or know where it's coming from..

~"Azure"...~

~Who's that who calls my name?
Azure looked behind him as he saw nothing but the trees that were like dancing withing the cold breeze of the wind. So he entered as he opened both gates with both hands as he pushed it gently allowing him to get a glimpse on the inside.

As Azure entered, he saw nothing but simplicity around the place as it has an empty space.. Although he may seem to have seen the mist on the ground as it seems to be reaching for something.
~What could this be?

Azure walks 3 feet away from where he was standing as he heard another voice calling for him..

~"Azure..."

Once again, he looks around the but saw nothing. He then walks a few feet again as he was staring up the ceiling which seems to be getting higher and higher the moment he stared at it. He crossed both arms upon walking feeling the sudden change of weather when all of a sudden... He heard thundrous sound of the Thunder in his mind as Azure stopped from where he was standing as random images entered his mind. Inside his mind, he then saw himself on top of a massive building as it seems that the rain never stops. Lightning bolts come out every time he takes a step as it flashed through the sky.

Azure's eyes opened widely as he then saw some one standing over the sky wheres Azure can only take a glimpse of his back. It's spiky yellow hair that merely glows and it's serious face was seen when it looked at Azure right in the eyes.

All of a sudden, Azure returned to reality as he fell on his knees and heavy loads of sweat came down on his face. Azure was panting all of a sudden..
~What could that be..??!

Azure then lied on the cold floor as he regained his strength..

As Val makes his way over to where she and Neva sit next to Sonoshikyo, Star notices that he's covered with lacerations from his fight with his zanpakutou spirit. That brought back memories.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Star's breathing was labored as she tried desperately to calm her racing heart. She could hear Sonoshikyo charging toward the boulder that she was now hiding behind.

Why do I have to have a MONSTROUS zanpakutou spirit?! Star thought frantically as she cowered with fear behind the boulder. I'm going to die! He's going to kill me! Think! Think! Star began searching around for a route of escape. Just then a scorching jet of flames pounded into the other side of the boulder. Within seconds the rock became too hot to even stand near.

Star used shunpo to bring herself away from the rock and hide herself from the colossal skeleton dragon for a few more seconds while she tried to figure out how to stay alive. Unfortunately, Sonoshikyo was prepared for her escape, this time, and he caught her with ease. His claw sliced into her back without hesitation, sending blood spurting from the deep wound.

Great! I'm dying... Star welcomed the darkness that swallowed her because she knew that it meant no more pain.

Star was brought back to the present by Val's voice.

"Err...yeah. Shiro's being weird right now. I think I'm just going to leave him to his own devices for now."

She smiled at him. "Sometimes that's the best thing to do."

Just then Star noticed Azure's reiatsu. She looked hopefully toward the door, but her eyes widened with surprise as the recruit laid down on the floor breathing heavily.

Star turned to her companions and asked, "What do you think made him do that? Do you think he's having a weird reaction to the mists? Like an allergy?"

~....? What happened...?
Azure still lying on the ground, both eyes closed and still thinking of the images that he has seen from his mind.
~Who is that man..?

Azure thinks for himself on why would such entity would likewise appear on his mind as the things would then go blurry all of a sudden. Imagining random things as he was still lying down about the gigantic building that he was then standing at in his "dreams," as well as the heavy rain pour and the never ending flash of the Lightning bolts that descend from the dark sky. Azure remembers the voice of the entity that calls forth his name as he immediately stood up an unsheathed his blade that was then hanging from his right waist.

Wielding his blade on his left hand where each of his fingers gripping tightly onto it, Azure looks around the empty place. Due to the tightening of his grip on his blade causing slight veins to sprout from his arm.. Although Azure ignored this as he tries to feel everything that was within that place.
~Where is everyone by the way..?

Looking around, Azure soon realized that he was the only one on the first level of the tall building-like structure so he went on walking forwards. All he sees is the mist that grows beneath him as it seems to follow his trail wherever he goes.

~I can now feel the others.. Star-Taichou, Fukutaichou, and....... Val-san
But as Azure walks... With his head straight ahead on where he was walking, he suddenly heard in his mind another Thundrous sound of the Lightning like it flashed through the heavens calling forth his namesake.

~What are you....... trying to tell me?!
Came another illusion on Azure's mind where he appeared back on top of the tall building and the lighting bolts and heavy downpour once again. Although he felt a little weird this time, because even if he was being exposed within the rain's downpour, nothing within him was wet. Azure then raises both hands as he tries to catch a drop from the rain. a couple of dropped fell on his palm but they merely disappeared. Azure then felt so sure that there was something mystic about that place.

He then looks up but saw no one.. Only the flashing of the bolts coming down from the sky. Azure lowers his hands as his right hand then didn't felt the tip of his blade hanging from his right waist.
~What..?! Where..?!

Azure saw that his Zanpakutou is gone as he started to worry. He then looked around with anger on his face as he closed hi fist tightly enough for his palm to bleed...
~What is this??!

Azure then yelled towards the sky as his voice seems to have gone together with the sound of the Lightning bolts. Azure was about to yell once again when he heard of the strange voice calling for him once again.

~Azure..~

As a flash of thunderbolt came down rushing at full speed towards Azure. He noticed it but having slightly poor evasive skills, he tried to block it with both arms as he crossed them both in front of his face. The Lighting bolt collided with Azure as Azure got electrecuted in the process and was yelling furiously. Feeling that the electricity was trying to get into him Azure yelled once more as all of the illusions disappeared once again and Azure was back into lying the wooden ground.

Nevaeh watched silently as Arashi Threw herself at Shiro, knocking the man to the ground from the force of the tackle. Watching as they did would could only be appropriately classified as 'snog' in the middle of the mists, she sighed and shook her head, then turned to Star at her comment about Azure. Pursing her lips lightly in response, she shrugged.

"He should probably go higher into the pagoda. Our reiatsu may be interfering too greatly for where he is right now. Unfortunately, he is on his own in here. If any of us get too close to him, it could be detrimental to him."

After answering this question, she pulled a roll of bandages and a tube of antiseptic out from her sleeve and walked over to Val. Sitting down on her knees, she began to look over the lacerations while tutting lightly.

"Shiro really is quite harsh on you..."

Hearing the giggling of the two spirits in the background her eyebrow twitched.

"...Be careful...he'll start bringing you here more often to 'spar' if he knows I will show up to tend to your wounds."

Hearing an annoyed growl come from behind her, she paused in her bandaging to see Kyoubou watching the two on the floor.

"Kyoubou, what's bothering you..."

I don't enjoy the way she is acting right now...

"...What's wrong with your sister having a little fun?"

She's not my sister...

Not quite hearing the spirit, the shinigami shrugged and looked over Val carefully as she concentrated on his wounds once more. With one more frustrated growl, the male mouse spirit shouted over to Shiro.

Yo! If you're so quick with the women, let's see how you fight. I'm not going to let you just take my woman like that!

"His woman?"

Nevaeh raised an eyebrow at Val locking eyes with him, not exactly sure what the irate humanoid was talking about.

Oh you stop it! You gave me up a loooonng time ago, mister! Remember that other shinigami's hotty totty little fairy spirit? You sure liked her, didn't you?

That's not the point! Shiro, I challenge you to a spar!

Completely loosing her attention for the bandage, Nevaeh settled herself between Star and Val and pulled out a bag of popcorn from nowhere, passing it around to the others.

"Ohhhhh this could get good. Let's watch, shall we?"
