Even though he changed manoeuvres at the last second she was able to dodge him with speed and elegance, this startled Drake even more than the kick to the shoulder.

"Impressive, It's like you could read my mind" Drake laughed. "Now I know why your 3rd seat"

"If your expecting me to use Kidou in this fight, no can do" Drake shrugged,

"Never been really good at it"

Drake decided to go for a different approach and attack the 3rd seat from one of his sides, and attack higher.

Faust smiled as she approached.

"You should, Seki." She used the back of her left hand to stop the blade and the kidou to reflect it before it could cause damage. Her right palm, having moved to her wide hips, shot forth while she took a step forward with the corresponding leg to increase the sequential movement and power. "SHO!"

The strike was not straight but up angled to lift the recruit up and off his feet while sending him back. "Horin!" The left hand snapped out a chord of binding which aimed to latch onto his zanpakutou. With any luck her blow sent the recruit high enough so that when she pulled the zanpakutou back to her it wouldn't impale or cleave through him. If he fought the attack and stayed low. He might get in the way of the last bakudo or have an unpleasant surprise coming from behind.

Knowing there was nothing he could do but get hit by one attack, he went for the most easiest and stayed low.

"I told you I have never been able to use Kido, but there is no harm in trying Hado 33 Sōkatsui" Drake called out.

A week beam of light was fired at the 3rd seat but didn't even make it near her. This was a major failure on Drakes part.

So he decided to shot about 3 more in random direction hoping to distract the 3rd seat but this also weakened the new recruit who was now running towards his opponent whilst swinging his sword in an infinity symbol infront of him hoping to deflect other kido attacks and make impact with the 3rd seat

[Good job on staying low... bad on spacial recognition.] The 3rd seat thought to herself. Her chest rose and fell in a sigh as the recruit slashed at the Horin. This only ensured he was captured by it. As she rose into the air slightly to make use of this tether she ran into one of the weak Soukatsui. She heaved up with her left arm while the right shoulder was still covered in smoke.

The basic positioning would lift the recruit up before she twisted it over and around until the recruit would be flying straight toward the ground. Even if he broke it there would have been enough time for her to retreat to the still standing zanpakutou. As she reappeared from shunpo she knelt beside the blade her shoulder hidden behind the blade but right hand draped over the cross guard.

"Not bad, if you recall I never told you I expected you to show me infantile flailing. I asked for technique. Make sure you have a detailed plan of attack when you enter a fight. Have a strategy before the fight and use tactics in the fight. Basic Musashi Miyamoto rule of war. Don't they make you read the Five Rings anymore, or did you just skip that one?" The voice was even and calm. It wasn't insulting or condescending. Almost no emotion was conveyed in the voice save that of life. It was not the monotone of computers or synthetics but still dry.

Drake knew he had fell for Faust's trap, even though he didn't get attacked by on of the Kidos he knew the Horin was attached to his blade.

After hearing her speech about war Drake stopped to think and couldn't recall the Five Rings. "Hmm Five Rings? Ok either I missed that class or they don't teach it, one or the other" He said in a much calmer voice, with a hint of joy.

Drake knew the only way to stop to Horin was to break it or to toss his sword down. He decided to go for try and break it knowing if he tossed his sword down his only form of defence would be his pathetic attempts at Kido.

"Right conversation over lets get back to training." Drake said trying think of a more tactical approach.

He then outstretched his right arm, with his left arm gripped around it. Getting ready for another kido attack.

"Ye Lord. Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bear the name of Man, Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, march on to the south.Hado 31: Shakkahō" He chanted hoping for a better stronger kido than his last even though after this his energy will be drained even more.

(warning I am highly sarcastic) Did you read my post? You might want to re-read it and check out the part where I attempt to hurl you up into the air, back around over the shoulder, and into the ground if the kidou connected. It did, you admit not letting go, you do not react in any manner to my attack. >.> I will grant you I am looking at this after a Phase 10 tournament my best friend from 5th grade just won so I'm a bit out of it from so much excitement and am crashing but you might want to reword your post. fyi forgot to mention using the same image Ali provided earlier. It works. :P

Faust was growing bored. "Young and restless as ever the recruits..." She sighed.

Standing to reveal part of her shirt burned off but the skin and shoulder with barely a scuff. She lifted the blade in her right hand via a reverse grip. She never even flinched at the kidou. Instead the blade stretched out and hewed the spell in half with a rising cut before she came within range to directly stab at him. Even with a flat tip instead of the usual point her blade was more than sharp enough to do damage. If the recruit didn't do anything about this attack. Her stance was offensive with her right leg baring most of her weight so she could be ready to counter with hakuda. Her left hand was up in guard position ready to add weight to her strike or maintain balance if need be as the situation flowed.

Drake was more than ready for this sword attack. He knew if he kept pushing her buttons with kidou he would finally get her to draw her sword.

He held his sword up blocking the attack and shattered the Horin that was binded around it.He then started pushing his sword whilst running to force Faust to move. His target was a tree that was directly behind Faust, the swamp area was perfect for Drake to fight on.

"Let me show you my true strength"Drake shouted, still pushing the 3rd seat, whilst his speed was picking up.
