Shikai

Shikai Release Command: Bakuhatsu  (explode)

Shikai Released Appearance:
Chō no Odoroki in it's shikai form is a balck bladed spear. At the joint of the spear and the blade lies a small white globe which glows.

Overall Shikai Strength:
When Chō no Odoroki is released and an ability has been activated, one or more butterflies are releasee from the globe on the spear and take flight. Depending on which ability has been activated, the butterfly's use will differ.
A butterfly has an unlimited time frame as long as the Zanpakuto is still in its shikai's form.
Overall Shikai Weakness:
When a butterfly is released they only have a 1.5km radius from the wielder.

There is a limit on how many butterflies can be released from the globe depending on the wielder's rankings.

The max is:
Recruit: 5 Butterflies
20th-16th: 8 Butterflies
15th-11th: 12 Butterflies
10th-6th: 18 Butterflies
5th-3rd: 20 Butterflies
Vice Captain: 25 Butterflies
Captain: 30 Butterflies

When the butterflies are released, they carry a little bit of the wielder's reitsu, but can be hard to be detected by anyone below 5th seat.

Additional Details (Optional): When a butterfly explodes, the globe glows.

Abilities

Passive Ability # 1: Chō no Kkei  (Butterfly Sight)
Strength: When a butterfly is released the wielder can see what the butterfly see.
Weakness: However, the wielder can only see uses ONE of the butterflies and takes two seconds to transfer to a different butterfly.


Active Ability #1: Bakuhatsu Chō  (Exploding Butterfly)
Strength: When Bakuhatsu Chō is activated purple butteflies with red spots are released from the globe. These butterflies do not explode until they come in contact with someone, if the wielder commands it or when it is destoryed.
Weakness: Wielder will lose some reiryoku. When a butterfly is destoryed, its explosion is lessened.


Active Ability #2: Reit Chō  (Frozen Butterfly)
Strength: When Reit Chō is activated purple butterflies with blue spots are released from the globe on the spear. These butterflies do not explode until they come in contact with someone, if the wielder commands it or when it is destoryed. The butterfly explodes sending out pieces sharp ice.
Weakness: Wielder will lose some reiryoku. When a butterfly is destoryed, its explosion is lessened. When these butterflies explodes, the ice cant stand intense heat so they melt and evaporate.


Active Ability #3: Chō Kabe  (Butterfly Wall)
Strength: When Chō Kabe is activated purple butterflies with white spots, are release from the globe creating a wall covering parts or all around the wielder or a choosen target. The butterfly absorbs the reiatsu attack. Through the pressure of the expmlosion of a physical attack, may push the attacker back a few steps.
Weakness: Once the butterflies have absorb the reiatsu attack or have been physically attack they'll explode. As long as the globe is still glowing and active, the wielder can release more butterflies. The ability will remain active for no more than 5 minutes (after the second post), when time is up the wielder will have to reactivate the ability.

Faust arrived at the site with his zanpakutou and a sling with rods. He took off his shirt showing the thick slab like chest and abs. He spear chucked the rods into the water surrounding Great Blue Hole. It was just that, a Giant hole in the ocean floor that was 400 ft deep and over 900 ft wide. The popular dive spot was vacant due to a little notice the former captain put in the local dive shops about there being a shark swarm out and that it was unsafe for divers.

When the last rod was in place a barrier was erected which slowly created two portals. One at the bottom of the cave, the other in the air above. When the water had drained from the cave a new liquid took its place. This was a specialized fluid that was super oxygenated so that even humans could breath the liquid and not die. This was also applicable to shinigami who didn't have lungs like he did. He didn't plan on taking the fight into the hole but changed the mixture just in case. He took a seat in the sand and soaked up the sun with his zanpakutou standing in the sand tip first.

Hikaru was almost as worried as she was exicted. She shunpoed to the location Faust setected for her training. With a spring in her step, Hikaru walked forward a couple of meters on the sand as she looked around. What an interesting place to choose. I wonder how i'll fair up. She noticed Faust sitting on the sand, she walked up to him with a smile. "Ready~" She called out to him. Hikaru wasnt sure what to do, though she did know that they were here to train her in release her zanpakuto Shikai.

"Step number 1. Describe to me in as much detail how you obtain shikai. Please use your own words. Upon a satisfactory understanding we will begin training for it as I see fit. There are multiple ways to obtain shikai so don't feel bad if you don't remember all of them."

He spoke without even looking up or opening his eyes. He did turn over so he didn't burn on one side but considering he had shark skin he doubted he could burn easily from solar rays.

"Step number 2. When you have obtained shikai or I have found training sufficient for the time being and a break is needed we relax and go swimming for a bit... if you aren't unconscious or cut to ribbons. Begin when ready."

With a sigh, Hikaru looked out to the ocean trying to find a way to words the describe obtaining her shikai. "Hmm, lets see, i know one way off the top of my head. Which is battling it out, until i get knocked out and enter the inner world of my zanpakuto. Then in the inner world i may have to battle my zapakuto in order to leant its name. From there, i would be able to release my zanpakuto in it's shikai form." Having been leaning on one foot, Hikaru shifted her weight to the other foot. She looked down at Faust noticing him turn over and chuckled, "I like the relaxing part of this taining."

"Good, now you also have jinzen training by which you focus a mental connection. Due to how long this process can take if you are not a prodigy, we have adopted a training method that eliminates half of the distance by giving you a one way shot down into your inner world. This also gives us a chance to see if you are skilled enough to reach your inner world and then we send you there. Upon which time it is up to your skill, to see if you obtain shikai."

He said before yawning. His giant jaw of shark teeth might have made it aggressive looking but it was just a simple yawn, no more. He got up and placed an hand on the pommel of his blade. It was not your usual zanpakutou, it would remind her of a dao being a wide blade. It had a cross guard that was two sickles, one facing her, one facing him on the bottom. The pommel was a small circular design with a moon design. He barely lifted the tip out of the sand when he tapped it with his foot flicking it into an over head guard.The tip was pointed at her with edge facing off to the left. The flat of his sword made a thin strip of metal that was a highly effective shield.

Listening to Faust, Hikaru nodded at his explanation. But Hikaru couldnt help but clench her fist as he stood up and pointed his sword toward her. She was going to be tested further than ever and she was to be prepared. Taking a deep breath stepping backwards puting some distance between the two, as Hikaru unsheathed her zanpakutou, preparing to engage battle.

[Used to they couldn't wait to attack, now they don't want to do anything anymore. Guess I gotta do some work]

He lowered the blade from guard to chamber. His left hand and foot forward and the blade now facing the right readied his attack. It wasn't one Faust was proficient with but now was the time to try. It was an old technique called Gatotsu. It was a simple, but fast, shoulder level thrust. He didn't use shunpo but just ran straight for her.

"Let's go!"
