[Mission] 7th&&8th: "Top Secret"

Mariko carried a solemn face as she made her way towards the boardwalk. She heard Sean's question, but thought it would be best to answer when there where all there so thast whay she did not need to repeat herself again. She then stopped 2 feet away and looked at the ground for a bit.

Let us go on and I'll explain later on... when we are all together, yes? Kensei!

She turned over to look at Kensei motioning for him to get near her.

*Kensei shunpo almost immediately appearing besides her as he nodded and looked around. Closing his eyes he began to scan the area for any type of disturbance or odd spiritual pressense. Seconds later he opened his eyes and shook his head.*

"I don't sense anything out of the ordinary Lieutenant.... Shall we proceed?"

*He turned to look at Sean, suchi, and finally back to Mariko.*

*Suchi noticed Mariko walk off away from himself, his son Sean, and others within the group. Concentrating on the way she strode away from the small congregation, he wondered if she was at all depressed. When she came back towards the group, he forced himself to ask her a question.*

“Mariko, are you ok? I understand you want to find S but you seem minimally distant. Maybe you should get some rest?”

*With a small sigh, he watched his Sean, who’s want for more inquiry on the mission was shining strong.*

A soft light formed in the air above the members of the 8th division. Within that light a gate formed and opened, allowing its passenger through. Standing in mid air was a humanoid feline, his fur dark red with a cream colored middle and he bore the traditional shinigami uniform. Around that uniform was the white coat representing his class and the seventh division emblem set upon its back.

Tora glanced down at the other members of the search party. The feline smiled and gently fell to the ground, landing not with a thud but with a soft "tuph".

"Hello Mari." He greeted. "i apologize for my tardiness."

Mariko looked over to Kensei and smiled, weakly, but smiled. Thank you, here are the reports that I need you to hold on to... Since you are my 5th seat...

She then stopped and looked over to Suchi when he told her that maybe she should rest. She gave him a genuine smile and shook her head.No, I'm ok Suchi. But thank you... We need to get this started and look for my captain...

Mariko then felt a familiar reiatsu appear and she heard her name being called out. She turned and saw the 7th Taichou appear. Mariko waved to him to get closer and greeted him as well.

Tora, it is ok for the lateness... we are about to begin the search.

*Kensei reached out grabbing the report. Stopping for a few seconds as he skimmed the report then tucked it inside his shirt. Turning around he spotted the 7th division captain. Giving him a short bow he turned back to Mariko.*

"Wouldn't it be wise to split up? Cover a bit more ground lieutenant."

Tora gave a slight bow back to Kensei before turning his attention back to Mariko.

"Actually, splitting up sounds like the best course of action. Naturally, we would all have our hell butterfly and keep in constant communication. What we should aim for is finding a trace of the 8th captain's reiatsu. Once we acquire that, any kido practitioner who can perform the tracking sparrows kido should do so."

*Kensei looked around for a few seconds and shook his head.*

"I can't seem to pick up anything, do we have any leads.... It's obvious finding him isn't going to be that easy."


*Kensei looked over to the captain.*

"I could perform the kido once we have some type of link to his spiritual pressure... Till then tracking is not going to work..... Where ever he is it's untraceable."

Sean stood back, letting all of the high ranking officers talk. He felt very insignificant and insecure. Hopefully he could help with something along the way. Stepping up closer, trying to get more details, he asked a question.

Do we know what he was wearing at the time? Or what he was doing in the world of the living?

Sean knew that details like this would be important. Hopefully it helped in the investigation. He was trying his best to impress his superiors.

*Suchi stands their and yet continues to play in the sand, using his feet to force the extremely moist sand under his toes; the feeling was quite magnificent and made him a tiny bit ticklish. Suddenly, the 7th division captain made his presence explicitly known, as his entrance was quite climatic in nature.*

“Hey Tora! You may or may not remember or know me."

*Nodding contently, he listened to his superior, the main conductor of this cardinal mission, and his love, Mariko, all at the same time, trying not to create a bias through the deep love he felt for her. Yes, it was indeed difficult and frustrating to agree that Mariko may be put in harm’s way during this mission; but he had to accept the consequences.*

“Well, I agree with both Tora and Dark that we need to split up in order to efficiently execute this mission. We don’t have the time to spare, since we really have no clue on S’s current status, good or bad.”
