[13th Division] [General Mission] They All Fall Down

Mission Name: They All Fall Down

Location: 75th West Rukongai District-30th West Rukongai district

Time: 1200 hours

Background: About a week ago, Saionji Maeko returned from a mission with Aoki Toshiyuki and the pair reported about a group of disgruntled organization of Plus souls plotting a coup d'etat. In that mission, Saionji Maeko managed to take down their leader, and both of them took down a large amount of the foot soldiers. However, from their reports, there are plenty more foot soldiers left. But the thing that we're most worried about it is something that Aoki Toshiyuki has reported. When he was on a mission in the 75th West Rukongai district, there was an individual known only as "The Doctor."

According to Aoki, The Doctor is a very intelligent individual who used to heal members of the 75th West Rukongai district and surrounding districts. He was intelligent enough to find some sort of mock Hollowfication and apply it to regular Souls, augmenting their strength to great levels. If he managed to get to any souls with the latent potential to become a shinigami, that could be a major problem. Aoki has also reported that The Doctor has developed many other performance enhancing drugs to use. There is almost irrefutable proof that that The Doctor is involved in this operation, and if they gather enough men and perform enough Hollowfication operations, then it's entirely possible that they could overwhelm Seireitei.


Objective:
-Disrupt the operation of this group of rebels in any and every way you can.
-If possible locate The Doctor and assassinate him
-If possible locate the new leader of the group of rebels and assassinate him or her as well
-At the discretion of the commanding officer of the op, you may try to take on the entire group of rebels if you feel you've weakened them enough. However, the main objective is the first one, to help weaken this group so we can topple them


Additional Intel:
-The Doctor may be the new leader of this operation, so watch out for that
-The Doctor is also very intelligent, so being secretive is of the UTMOST importance, because there is a great chance he will outthink you.

Maeko stretched her arms above her head as she waited at the gate for the others to arrive.

It's time to end this.

The sooner this guy is dead, the sooner you can stop worrying about Nanami.

Maeko said nothing. Her sister Nanami had been moving from house to house for the past three weeks, in order to avoid repurcussions from the previous mission Maeko and Toshi had been on. Maeko felt that the threat to Nanami was almost gone now, with Kogara dead, but she wasn't going to take any chances.

With the Doctor dead, the whole affair would be put to rest. And she would have avenged Nanami.

Not that you're taking this personally, of course.... A hint of sarcasm could be detected in Ochi's voice.

Enough. Toshi and Rae will be here soon. She felt a flutter in her stomach as she thought Toshi's name, but quashed it before Ochi could comment. Let's be ready to move out asap. 75th District is quite a journey.

She had packed and unpacked her bag many times the night before, trying to decide what she should take. Rae couldn't beleive how nervous she was, as she walked to the West Rukongai gate. It was one thing going on a mission with John or training with Toshi, but she was going on an important mission with the 13th's VC!

I don't see what the big deal is, she's just another human. Fujo interjected haughtily.

Rae smiled. What, you aren't looking forward to working with the handsome Ochi?

Hmph, I wouldn't say handsome....

Oh, that's not what you said before. Rae took small pleasure in goading Fujo, she was always such a snob.

Mae was already waiting and she greeted her with a smile and a little bow. "How are you Fukutaichou?"

Toshi strolled through the streets of Seireitei, his hands behind his head. For once, he wasn't running, he didn't trust himself to run right now, his heart was hammering away at his breast bone, and for some reason, his legs felt like spaghetti.

It's cause you're in love bruh.

Well..I haven't talked to her about the...kiss. What if we're caught alone together?

Shush. I can't let personal feelings get involved with this mission.

Toshi just ignored Shu and kept on walking. His caramel colored skin absorbed the bright sunlight from the bright day that contrasted his actual mood. As he approached Mae and Rae. He suddenly, couldn't reisisst the urge to smile, and as he laid his eyes on Mae's face, his stomach did a backflip. He quickly closed his eyes and shook his head, regaining some control.

Yoo Mae-chan, Rae-chan.

With that, Toshi began a slow jog forward, still afraid of tripping over his spaghetti legs.

"Hey Rae." Mae smiled at the tenth seat as she arrived at the gate.

Excitement flickered in her companion's aura, Maeko couldn't help but be amused as she remembered the pangs of nerves and adrenaline that would course through her own system at the start of a mission.

Oh! So Fujo's her zanpakutou? Ochi sounded pleased. Well, it this mission could be slightly more interesting then, I suppose.

When you've stopped drooling, do you think you could find it in yourself to control your raging hormones for the course of this assignment? Maeko was scathing and slightly unsympathetic. She knew what Ochi was like. Remember what we're doing here. Who we're going after. What we owe to Nanami.

Actually, I was trying to distract you from dwelling on that. He sounded hurt.

I appreciate the sentiment, but this is a point where I'd rather be focused.

Fine then. He sulked.

"Right, everything's prepared, we just need to wait for..." She broke off, and turned. "Speak of the devil."

She cupped her hands to her mouth. "Oi! Toshi-kun, sometime today?"

He would know she was joking, trying to lighten his mood. She turned back to Rae.

"We've got a fair bit of travelling, I'm afraid. Intelligence says that this Doctor is based in 75th, that's where Toshi met him last time."

She turned to him as he approached. "Right?"

Rae was surprised to sense some unspoken tension between Toshi-sensei and Mae, she knew they were close friends and was surprised as he moved by with a cursory hello. She shrugged and started after him.

"Hi Toshi! Its no problem Mae, its a beautiful day, may as well enjoy it until the action starts. Anyhow,"lowering her voice, "I'm kind of nervous." Her awkward chuckle showed it as she fiddled with her necklace.

"Whats that game plan fukutaichou, is there anything I need to know before we get there, this is some pretty serious business and its good to have advice from someone who has experience. focusing on the task at hand would calm her nerves, she liked to have time to work things over in her mind.

Hmphh, I don't know why you're kssing up to her. Ochi isn't anything that amazing, what makes you think she is.

Rae rolled her eyes and decided not to argue. Fujo was such a buzz kill and had respect for no one but herself.

Toshi's broke out into a chuckle at Mae's impatience.

Hush Mae. You know I'm lazy, and this mission is messing with my Friday plans.

As he approached the duo, Toshi watched Rae's antics, and immediately picked out the signs of the nervousness that she was emanating. Then, placing his hand on her shoulder, he spoke.

Relax Rai-chan. You've had me as a sensei...there's not much that can beat you after being trained by me.

Toshi chuckled at her, hoping that she'd take it as a joke and not think of him as egotistocal. He also hoped that the joke would get rid of her nervousness and boost her confidence. She's really grown sinice he took her under his wing. He remembered when she was just a goofy recruit that was so nervous and excited at the same time. Now she's a goofy 10th seat who has learned the name of her zanpaktou, and proved herself on a mission now. She's a very capable and powerful shinigami now, and Toshi was incredibly proud of her.

And by the way Rae. I'm the one who's actually met The Doctor, I'm the one who's lived in the 75th, I've fought against The Doctor's original experiment, been in his laboratory, and read his documents. Aand, I'm the Yonseki who's gone on my fair share of missions, maybe you could ask me a couple of questions too.

"Oh, sorry Toshi, I didn't mean to leave you out, you've both worked together so much and have both had experience with this man and his plans, I'll appreciate input from you both." Rae tried to cover for her mistake and smiled his way.

"Either way, I'm ready to get started. My nervousness will start to fade once I have something productive to do." And anyhow, she thought, I need something to keep my mind off of my last mission, as she pushed that sickeningly calm face of her father's out of her mind.

[Maeko Saionji]

Maeko snorted as Toshi spoke.

"And your modesty, of course Tosh..." she winked at him.

"In that case," Maeko pushed her hand against the gate, which began to slowly creep open. "Let's get going. We can fill you in as we go."

With a smile at the others, she stepped out into the first district of Rukongai.

The sun was high in the sky, ducking in and out of speedily moving clouds. A breeze ruffled Maeko's hair as soon as they were no longer behind the shelter of the wall.

She dropped into a moderate shunpo, expecting the other two to follow her.

Then turning to Mae, Toshi smiled, but suddenly felt his stomach flutter as his eyes fell onto her face.

Y-yeah, you know me, modesty is my middle name.

A creaking sound caught Toshi's attention, and he turned his head towards the sound to spot the gate creeping open. Wordlessly, he shunpoed after Mae's retreating figure. She was going much too slow for his liking, but he understood why, however, Rai was a big girl, and Mae was almost as fast as him...they could keep up. So, now to get in front. Toshi opened his mouth to shout up to Mae. They weren't going too fast, the wind wouldn't be too great, she could probably hear him.

Mae-chan, I know a few shortcuts to the 75th, and I know alot about the area around it, do you mind if I pull up in front?
