Evaluation/Training Spar - S vs. Kaminari

the training area Kaminari chose was this

*S walked into the middle of the grounds and leaned his back against one of the thickest trees nearest to him. looking nothing more than a normal shinigami w/o any haoris or any hats, S smiled and relaxed for a moment.

"i wonder when Kaminari will arrive. after all, this is her playground......"

Kaminari sprinted through the forest, kicking up leaves in her path. Suddenly from a distance, she spotted her captain leaning his back against a thick tree, causing her to swiftly run towards him. Soon after collapsing to her knees and slid across the leaves directly in front of him in seiza position. Her eyes glanced up at him: "I Hope You haven't been waiting long." She said with a smile, then standing to her feet and brushing herself off lightly. "Way to make an entrance!" She thought.

*as S heard the ruffle of leaves and the increase in Kaminari's reiatsu as well as her pace towards him. as he noticed from her reiatsu her actions, he also dropped down into seiza, and then meditated until she arrived in front of him.

"nope, not long at all."

*he then indicated for Kaminari to accept a little sake if she wished......it was his tradition to show he meant no real harm......to show this, he drank off the first dish of sake.

"Whew, that is a relief!" She replied with a smile. Right after Kaminari's eyes widened slightly as she glanced at the Sake, the look was as though she saw a ghost.

"Uhh.....I.....ehhh....uhhh..." She stuttered, backing away, slightly tripping over a root in the ground, but quickly caught her balance. "I Appreciate the offer, but I'll have to pass." She said nervously, scratching the back of her head, recalling the first and last time she drank sake.

"Perhaps Candy?" She giggled. Reaching down in her pocket she had sewn into her uniform, then pulling out a hersheys kisses and stuffed it in her mouth. "Much better." the girl sighed.

*S then drained the rest of the bottle, and stood up on his own (no longer leaning against the tree) and smiled.

"so my dear.....we are not here to chat......"

*S began to slowllly draw his sealed zan, and then rested it on his right shoulder, the hilt in his right hand

"You started it." She joked, only acting goofy for the soul purpose of not revealing her nervousness.

She watched as he slowly drew his sealed zan, and then rested it on his right shoulder. With a nervous sigh, the female shinigami took her fighting position with her left foot forward. Kaminari pressed her left thumb up against the tsuba, while holding the sheath of the sword. Her right hand remained to her side, not unsheathing her Zanpakuto just yet. But waiting for his go ahead to begin the spar.

"well what else did you expect, a tea party?
now then, lets start out nice and easy......"

*he said laughingly. S looked at the stance Kaminari took, and thought it a bit odd.....but said nothing, and instead decided to see how she reacted to an attack.

S moved towards Kaminari, and then as he was within striking distance, he swung his zanpaktou out from where it was resting on his right shoulder, making a horizontal right to left slash at Kaminari's upper chest aiming/trying to cut straight across from her left shoulder to right shoulder, but just slightly lower (basically from armpit to armpit i guess is the height i'm trying to describe)..

Carefully watching as S swung his zanpakuto horizontally with a right to left slash towards her upper chest. She quickly stepped her left foot back while grasping the Tsuka with her right hand and quickly releasing the blade from the sheath, instantly rotating both the saya and blade so that the ha (cutting edge) would diagonally clash with his blade as it came towards her. Though not able to withstand his strength, after clashing with his sword she jumped back just out of striking distance.

She then quickly stepped towards him and stopped with her right leg forward swiftly swinging with a horizontal strike from the left to the right towards the head of her opponent.

Her next move would consist of stepping her left foot forward, grabbing the zanny with both hands and quickly raising the sword to a jodan, making sure her right hand moved so that it did not block her vision. right after, she would immediately strike down with a overhead cut..

*S smiled as he watched Kaminari drop her left foot back and draw to block his strike.

"well done........so far."


*as Kaminari came in and slashed horizontally towards his head, he crouched down, still holding his zan in his right hand. then watching as she brought her blade up over her head and grip it with both hands, he began to rise. as Kaminari's second strike came down, S blocked it with his zan, held horizontally with his left hand on the spine (mune) of the blade near the tip (kissaki) of the blade.

standing up completely by now, S pushed his zan up with his left hand in a burst of strength to in effect push Kaminari's blade up and to her left - removing his left hand from the back of the blade once he had done that. as he did so, he used his left leg to kick in a roundhouse like fashion (but not rotating his body around) towards Kaminari's right ribs, which by now would have been exposed from when S pushed his zan up (since the bladed were in contact) and to his right. as he brought his left leg back down, his left hand was now in front of him (but not fully extended to minimize the chance that Kaminari could reach it), pointing his forefinger at Kaminari's left shoulder. he then said quietly

"hadou no yon (#4) - Byakurai"

*a flash of blue kidou shot forth like a bolt of lightening towards her left shoulder.

After S had blocked her overhead strike, Kaminari desperately tried to fight his strength, but he succeeded causing her blade along with her body to turn left slightly, almost fully revealing her ribs. However, she never took her eyes off him, watching the roundhouse kick come towards her ribs, she quickly let go of the zanny with her right hand, making a fist, she twisted her body towards the kick to add more power as attempting to block his leg with a chudan uki (middle block). Though, now paying attention to the leg, this would distract her from his forefinger aimed at her shoulder. Quickly glancing at it, her eyes widened, realizing she could not avoid it. Her instincts caused her to swiftly turn towards it and bring up both of her arms along with her zanpakuto (Which was in her left hand) to form an "X" in front of her body. Right after she was struck by the kidou which shot forth like a bolt of lightening. The pain causing the girl to shriek and stumbled backwards a few steps.


Catching her balance, and allowing her arms to fall, she began tightening the grip on her zanpakutou, her arms shaking lightly. The burn pained her. But she was able to suppress the feeling for the time being, determined to make her next attack worthwhile.


She raised her arm up a bit, she then leaped toward him, moving foward to close the gap between the two. swiftly lifting her zanny high into the air. Once close enough with her right foot forward, she slashed at S diagonally from his right shoulder to left hip. After this she would quickly bring her left foot to her right, swiftly rotating her body demonstrating a 360 spinning hook kick with her right leg towards the right side of his head. as her right foot hit the ground in zenkutsu dachi (Front stance), she would swing her zanny horizontally across his midriff from the left to right.
