It's been like 15 minutes since Mitsune already got lost in the forest where she was supposed to meet Daniru. The man she was going to meet was a brave warrior from 9th division. She spent quite a lot of time with him while she was in 9th and she knew him pretty well. One thing she didn't know about was the way he was fighting. She never really thought of getting in a fight with him, since they were getting along nicely, but they both agreed to fight sometime. And that day finally came.

She got in the middle of the forest, where trees were surrounding a certain area, in circle, like a fight ring. She walked right in the middle of it and looked above her head. She places her hand above her eyes, so the light from the sun wouldn't make her blind and looked at the sky. It was a quiet and perfect day - just fine for sparring. The vice captain looked then to one of the trees and vanished in a shunpo. A second later, she landed on a branch and sat there, waiting for her opponent to arrive. They surely had a lot to tell to each other.

Since he had achieved Bankai and entered into exile to train, Daniru had not seen most of his old division friends. In the months he was gone, Mitsu had become the Vice Captain of 1st Division. She had become even stronger and Daniru was dieing to see this improvement. They had been close friends for years, but had rarely seen the other fight, so this would be an interesting leanrig experience for them both.

He had sent her a message suggesting the spar, indicating the forest clearing he was now nearing. The sun shown magnificently off his silver hair and his emerald eyes twinkled as the sun peeked through the canopy. Taking a few steps into the clearing, he closed his eyes and sought out Mitsu. Knowing her, she likely would hide herself from him, so he decided now would be a good time to show her his improving sensory skills. Sensing her location somewhere on a nearby branch, he shunpoed away, his cloak billowing in the breeze as he landed on a branch beside her, his eyes still closed.

Long time no see.

His eyelids slowly opened, revealing his intoxicating emerald eyes. His hands absently strayed toward the sword sheathed across his back and the shorter sword sheathed at his left hip.

Mitsu had her back leaned against the tree and her eyes were closed. Her body was relaxed and her mind was empty. She was resting before a battle that she thought it would be good and really enjoyable. She could feel the air blowing through her long, brown hair. Being visibly disturbed by it, the vice-captain just caught it in a pony tail and got back to her previous action: sleeping.

But suddenly, someone else landed on the branch and shook it, making Mitsu almost lose her balance. Opening her emerald green eyes, the girl glared and gave a serious look to the person who just landed there. A few seconds later, a smirk appeared on Mitsune's lips as she realized he was there: Dan arrived just in time, and indeed, the two haven't seen each other in months. The vice captain let out a sigh, obviously missing the 9th division and its craziness. But then her smile appeared once again on her lips, because she was sure she could make 1st divisions at least as awesome as 9th was, back when she was there. Of course, a lot of memories were brought back as she saw Dan, but she shook her head and pushed the thoughts away. Moving a bit, and jumping from he tree to the ground, Mitsu got on her feet and turned to Daniru.

"Indeed, it's been a while, Dan." she spoke, then chuckled and continued. "You haven't changed at least one bit. Are you still this eager to fight, as usual?" the vice-captain asked and folded her arms in front of her chest, partially trying to provoke Dan and annoy him. "Or have you gotten lazy?"

When he arrived it seemed Mitsu was asleep; his landing jarring her from her rest. He allowed a small snicker before the short silence that followed the woman's sigh. From the look in her eyes he could see reflected in her mind the plethora of fun times the 9th had together... Daniru remembered these too, and it greatly saddened him when he had heard about the members he had met from the beginning were leaving.

Mitsu leapt down and spoke, responding to his greeting with her usual taunt. The 5th seat chuckled as well, jumping down and fluidly drawing both of his swords, the shorter in his left hand and the longer in his right hand.

My dear Mitsu, I have always been lazy yet prepared or a fight. Notice anything different?

Smirking, he took his stance with both swords, the shorter one held high.

Mitsu didn't move and grinned to the 5th seat as he took a battle stance. She just remembered he had two swords, and he was excellent in zanjutsu. It was a minus for her, but as well he had a minus: she knew Dan wasn't good at all in hakuda, in which Mitsu was master. She remained with her arms folded in front of her arms, before she replied sarcastically to Daniru.

"Different. Hmm... did you gain more weight? Seems like you got a bit fatter, yeah." she said, and stuck her tongue to him teasingly. Then she chuckled and closed her eyes, before she vanished in a flash step and appeared right behind the 5th seat, a meter from him, and lifted her right leg, attempting to hit his rib cage, using a very high speed. It was the kick that was the opening of the battle, and as usual, Mitsu liked to be the first who was doing the opening 'ceremony'. Grinning to herself, she kept her guard up and her attention to him.

The silver haired shinigami chuckled; he knew Mitsu was remembering his skill with a blade...but he also knew that he himself had a great weakness in Hakuda. She would surely take advantage of that. Mitsu responded to Daniru, sarcastic as ever, causing the man to respond in kind.

Actually, I lost weight.

The split second she vanished, he knew she would execute some kind of Hakuda attack. And, judging by his immediate vision and know-how of battle tactics, it would come from behind him. So, he flipped his swords behind his back, holding them with the flat sides in an X shaped block that would cover most of his back. Laughing, he spoke.

You really should be less predictable.

"Sorry i see exactly the opposite." she said not long after she appeared behind him. Her leg simply kicked the block that Daniru made with his swords in an X shape. Growling slightly, the girl moved her leg back on the ground and jumped backwards.

"Heh, though i bet you can't tell all my moves. But you have guessed right, i still rely on Hakuda. What you don't know though..."

Suddenly she interrupted and grinned for a moment. She had her arms crossed in front of her chest, but she slightly moved her hand and pointed with her index finger to the 5th seat. In the meantime, since she left 9th, Mitsu also tried to master Kidou as well, and become a better fighter. Still grinning to herself, she whispered, so only she could hear.

"Byakurai."

Suddenly a bold of lightning was sent towards the 9th divisioner. Mitsune didn't move from where she was and waited patiently to see how Daniru escaped from that attack. She didn't use the kidou at full capacity though, the battle had just started, and it would have been a waste to end the battle before it began. Besides, fighting longer with Dan would have been more fun for Mitsu.

Turning to meet her snide remark, the emerald eyed Shinigami chuckled evilly and fell again into his Zanjutsu stance. His silver hair blow in the slight breeze, the cool air wafting around his face. He was in his element and he was going to have a blast. Mitsu jumped back and responded to him, the conniving little vice captain was obviously planning something.

So you say...

He watched as the girl lifted a finger and, knowing that she didn't have a sword near her, she would obviously cast Kidou. What spell? He'd have no idea. Either way, he had a plan. Pointing his own finger down, he leapt up into the air while simultaneously whispering his own Kidou.

The burst of red smoke would easily hide his jump; the perfect means to mask his dodge. Looking down, he saw the bolt pass under his cloak. Pointing his other finger towards Mitsu, he sneered, and, from his aerial position, chuckled.

So... Little Mitsu is learning Kidou...too bad I've been studying it for much longer.

Daniru smiled evilly and began to chant a high level Kidou incantation.

Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six! Bakudo #61, Rikujokoro!

This spell would immobilize Mitsu if it hit, but with the significant difference in reiatsu, the 5th seat realized she could break the Bakudo given time. Smiling, he waited for the results of the attack.

Mitsu grinned as Dan made a red smoke suddenly burst so he could hide her moves and distract Mitsune. As usual, the 5th seat had a plan and whichever that was, she was already prepared to block, dodge or contra attack. Moving her eyes a bit higher, she noticed Daniru jumped and the bolt ran right under his feet. Mitsune's face didn't show any expression. She wasn't neither impressed, nor amused. Obviously slightly annoyed as Daniru called her 'little' Mitsu let out a "tch" and rolled her eyes, before she heard her opponent spelling another kidou.

Sighing to herself as she heard the spell, Mitsu waited until the beams of light were about to immobilize her. Right when they were about to do so, the vice captain jumped from where she was and landed a few meters behind the spot she initially was standing in, letting the beams waste. Chuckling softly to herself, she placed both palms in front of her, and whispered softly:

"Haien."

Suddenly a violet sphere of reiatsu appeared in front of her. However, Mitsu didn't fire it a Daniru. Her eyes were still on him, watching every move of his. Pointing her index fingers towards the sphere, Mitsu grinned and spoke, loud enough to make her rival hear as well.

"Kisaragi Ougi: HyakuByakurai!"

All of a sudden, Mitsu began to fire several lightings from her index fingers, which were going through the violet sphere, and which were transforming in fire bullets and soon as they were going through the sphere. They were aiming at Daniru's torso.
